Water

Why Water Is Essential To Human Life?

On a whole, the human body consists of approximately 75% water. The brain itself; the master control of our functions consists of 75% water. Not only that, but most parts of the body consist of water. For instance, blood consists of 63% water, it accounts for 22% of the bones, 75% in muscles and 82% of the liver. As you can see, we cannot live without water.Without this water, nothing on Earth would be living, it would be a huge graveyard.
Water has shaped the way that we live today. For example, we use this water for: agriculture, industry and domestic use. Although there are many other ways we use water, these are the top three.
Agriculture uses 73% of the water used on earth.
Industry uses 22% of the world's water.
Agriculture uses 73% of the water used on earth.
Industry uses 22% of the world's water.
Domestic Uses
Why We Need To Conserve Water?
You may be thinking of why we should conserve when 71% of the world is composed of water. For the most part, the waters are full of salt, and only 3% of it is fresh. Since human bodies are delicate, we can only take in fresh water. Digesting salt water could lead to serious health problems. The salt in the salt water, draws out all the liquid in our cells, leading to dehydration. Us; selfish humans are over using and depleting water, faster than any other animal on earth. Without this fresh water we may perish. Be aware!
Global Warming Depleting Fresh Water
First of all, since we humans pollute too much, we are causing global warming. The pollutants rise into the air, wearing out the o-zone layer. The o-zone layer; the shield for direct sunlight is now getting thinner, letting more direct sunlight hit the earth. This means that the glaciers that contain most of our fresh water are melting. This water is being dumped into the ocean, turning the fresh water into saltwater. Creating less water to drink day by day. Soon enough, the very water that we need to survive will disappear, leaving us scrambling for water.
Ways To Prevent Over Usage

*Don't turn the sink on while you are brushing.
*Don't take long showers.
*Don't over flush.
*Only water the grass, don't water the road.
*Don't wash your car daily.
*Buy water efficient appliances.
*Keep a bucket under the rain water pipe, for watering the plants.
*Only use the dishwasher when it is fully loaded.
*Fix dripping faucets right away.
By following these rules, you will be able to conserve atleast some water.
How Water Conservation Helps In the Long Term
* Irrigation- Taking water from another country for your country's use.
